The Fowey Christmas Market is held on the town quay and makes the town a truly festive place to be. There’s lots to see and buy from the many stalls which are set up for the occasion.

Lostwithiel Dickensian Evening, Lostwithiel, 12th Dec

An evening of Victorian street stalls with traders dressed in Dickensian costumes creates a fantastic evening. A lantern parade at 6.15 pm starts off the festivities which is a perfect build up to Christmas.

Lerryn Seagull Race, 30th Dec

This is a crazy boat race, or anything else that will stay afloat, powered by British Seagull Engines. Lots of fancy dress and fun to be seen on the water

The Boconnoc Spring Flower Show 5th -6th April

This flower show is the most popular in Cornwall and it’s easy to see why. The blooms are magnificent and the Boconnoc estate is also hard to beat.

Golant Easter parade

The Easter Parade is an event where everyone joins in and has a great time. Prizes are given for the Easter Bonnets and the egg throwing championships are not to be missed

Lost Fest, Lostwithiel 11th May

Lostwithiel certainly knows how to hold a festival. Lots of street performers, music bands, entertainers and stall holders create a great two-day event.

This ten-day event, the Fowey Festival of Words and Music, showcases a wide range of literary authors and speakers.

The Royal Cornwall Show 5th 6th 7th June

The Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge is the county’s showcase event for food, farming and local businesses. It’s a great day out for all the family.

Fowey Mussel and Beer Festival 21-22nd June

Enjoy some Fowey River Mussels on the town quay and then take a boat trip to see where the mussels are produced. There are lots of Cooking demonstrations and plenty of entertainment.

The Boconnoc Steam Fair 18th – 20th July

People travel from all over the country to attend this event and it is easy to see why. Lots of full size steam engines, vintage cars, a fair ground and even helicopter rides over the Fowey estuary.

Fowey Regatta week 17th Aug – 23rd

The Red Arrows, fireworks, processions, Sailing, Gig racing, bands on the Town Quay, Fowey Regatta week draws hundreds of people to the town and it is easy to see why. The week ends with a torchlight procession of boats on the water and a spectacular fire work display.
